Unusual Wedding Card Goes Viral: Names of Deceased Included

The wedding season is in full swing, with thousands of marriages taking place from November to February. Wedding cards hold great significance in marriage ceremonies, as families invest substantial amounts to make their invitations stand out. A recent wedding card from a Muslim family has caught attention for an unexpected reason, going viral on social media.

A Wedding Invitation with a Twist

A unique wedding card was recently shared on the Facebook page of Faiq Ateeq Kidwai. The wedding is scheduled for February 9, 2025, in Jaipur. While most details on the invitation are conventional, one particular section has left people both amused and startled.

Unusual Mention of ‘Darshanabhilashi’

Traditionally, wedding invitations include a section titled ‘Darshanabhilashi,’ meaning those eagerly awaiting the guests’ arrival. Typically, this section lists close family members like children, uncles, and other relatives. However, this particular wedding card took an unexpected turn by listing the names of deceased family members instead.

The Viral Card Details

The wedding invitation lists the following under ‘Darshanabhilashi’: Late Noorul Haq, Late Lalu Haq, Late Babu Haq, and Late Ejaz Haq, followed by the names of living family members. The ceremony is set to take place at Karbala Maidan, Jaipur, with events planned for February 8 and 9. Some parts of the card have been obscured with white paint, making certain details unreadable.

Social Media Reactions

This unusual wedding card has quickly gained traction online, garnering over 600 likes and more than 100 comments. Many users have shared their thoughts on this peculiar inclusion. One person commented, “It is common for Jodhpur and Jaipur residents to print such cards. I recently received an invitation with a similar mention of four deceased family members.” Another quipped, “Since the feast is in Karbala Maidan, this card makes perfect sense!”

A Growing Trend?

While this practice may seem unusual to some, it appears to be a cultural norm in certain regions. As wedding trends continue to evolve, such unique invitations spark conversations and intrigue. Stay tuned for more fascinating stories from the world of viral news.
